Position Summary:

Horizon Services Heating, Cooling and Plumbing is looking for exceptional professionals to join our Accounts Payable Department. This position is responsible for all accounts payable activities; including vendor applications, invoice receipt, verification and posting. Reporting to the Accounts Payable Supervisor, this position is part of a growing team of positive, motivated and professional individuals.

Qualifications:

• 3+ years' experience in accounts payable environment;
• Proven experience in Accounts Payable
• Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting payable principles
• Proven ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial records
• Data entry skills along with a knack for numbers
• Hands-on experience with spreadsheets and proprietary software
• Customer service orientation and negotiation skills
• High degree of accuracy and attention to detail

Essential Functions:

• Timely and accurate processing of: payables utilizing 3-way matching and resolve all pricing/receiving discrepancies
• Review, code, and enter vender expense invoices
• Reconcile vendor statements, research & resolve discrepancies
• Handle all vendor correspondence via phone or email.
• Receives, researches and resolves a variety of routine internal and external inquiries concerning account status, including communicating the resolution of discrepancies to appropriate persons.
• Processing check payments as needed
• Filing of accounts payable invoices as needed
